Southern Lights Jazz

Southern Lights is a Jazz Collective founded by Simon Hersh (Drums), Jack Beattie (guitar) and Rolando Mauriello (Sax) summoning an eclectic mix of leading musicians from across the South of England (most of whom are based locally). Sometimes we play as 4, sometime 7 or 8 to keep the feel fresh and exciting. We play “jazz for the people” – inventive, expressive and never too “serious” renditions of Jazz and Jazz/Funk classics. From cocktail bars to concert halls and festivals, our music has travelled from Hastings to Japan and across Europe. We want to appeal to both Jazz fans and non-Jazz fans alike, and hopefully we do.
