Studio 27 welcomes Warwickshire-based folk-rock favourites Meet On The Ledge. The band are celebrating thirty-three-and-a-third years together with their ‘Third of a Century’ Tour. Local music fans might remember MOTL from their regular appearances at the Black Horse Festival in Telham in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The concert will feature the band’s lifeboat epic ‘The Mary Stanford of Rye‘ which was released in 1996 and has become an international folk standard in its own right. The band have always donated all royalties from the song to the RNLI, and they will be making a donation to the Friends of the Mary Stanford Lifeboat House from this concert’s proceeds.
Showcasing the various styles and influences that have helped the band become a favourite on the UK folk festival circuit for over 30 years, including their own self-penned material, alongside high octane arrangements of traditional folk songs, and a few snippets from their hugely successful Pink Floyd tribute set, which toured the UK throughout 2023 and 2024.
