Laura Fell

As a psychotherapist by day, Laura Fell’s debut album, ‘Safe from Me’, is a search for answers from a woman always expected to have them to hand, and the self-punishing frustration that assumption brings.

Fell only started playing music at 25 when the poetry she had been writing for almost a decade began to feel more like songs. This talent for wordsmithery stretches throughout her songs: Fell invites you to claw at the soil until you strike gold, and the meaning eventually becomes unearthed.

“Fell’s alto is pure poetry.” – Uncut Magazine“
With touches of classic pop and refined, artsy folk, Fell dazzles with effortlessly compelling songwriting.”– Paste Magazine“

Song of the Day – Laura Fell is a force to be reckoned with on liberating debut single, Bone of Contention – a strikingly self-assured introduction.” – The Line of Best Fit

“A Bandcamp Recommendation.” – 4AD

“For a piece so full of uncertainty, struggle and fragmentation, it feels so fundamentally complete.” – Paradise Bird Theory

“Be prepared to add Londoner, Laura Fell, to your list of chanteuse swoons.” – Backseat Mafia

“Intimate and immersive… packed with personal emotion but edged with mystery.” – Various Small Flames
