All the way from France, we are delighted to welcome Dandelion Swing Band for their Jenny debut!
Formed in 2023, this quartet draws inspiration from the Western Swing repertoire of 1930s and 40s California and Texas. A lesser-known style within the swing family, it borrows equally from New York jazz, the music of Django Reinhardt, and Texas cowboy songs. The group rearranges genre classics and composes original material, driven by a string-based lineup: steel guitar, electric mandolin, archtop guitars, and double bass. Their repertoire features spirited songs, melancholic ballads, and fiery instrumentals.
Dandelion features vocalist Lou Richard, with her spellbinding voice and solid rhythm guitar work. Then there are the fiery riffs and solos of electric guitarist Fabien Lippens, answered by the steel guitar of Paolo Conti. Finally, rounding out the group is Matthieu Duretz, whose double bass provides the rhythm that gets feet tapping and hips swaying.
