You’re never too old to get into mischief, especially with the grandchildren’s help. It’s finally OK to get back on the swings and no one bats an eyelid if you’ve got a toddler with you. The joys of grandparenting are helping Sue Hicks cope with the trials of late middle (never old!) age. Nothing is as big as it used to be. Bodily functions simply don’t. Life has become a battle with gravity. To get things off her (rapidly descending) chest Sue commits anything that hacks her off to verse, to console herself that there is always a funny side, though it sometimes makes her swear.
