St Helen’s Wood, managed by the St Helens Park Preservation Society, is a serene woodland area offering multiple access points for visitors. The main entrance is located at the gate from Langham Road, with additional entries from The Ridge, Park Avenue, Hillside Road, St Helen’s Wood Road, and St Helen’s Avenue. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the natural beauty of the woods responsibly by adhering to several guidelines: litter must be taken home as there are no bins available, dogs should be kept under control and any waste cleaned up, and the disturbance of wildlife is discouraged. Additionally, fires, barbecues, and feeding or disturbing the horses are prohibited. Gates should be closed behind you, and the area is not open to camping, cycling, or motorised vehicles, except those for the disabled. These measures help ensure the preservation of the woodland’s tranquillity and natural environment for all to enjoy.
