DESCRIPTION:POETS IN PERFORMANCE\n\nHastings Book Festival is delighted to host a wonderful afternoon of poetry featuring a blend of nationally renowned household names and shining lights of the local poetry scene. \n\n\nPART 1\n\nAndy Riley, Emmy- and double-BAFTA-winning comedy scriptwriter (Veep, Black Books, etc), cartoonist (Bunny Suicides) and ‘poetry-adjacent’ spoken word artist.\n\nJames Domestic, poet, punk musician, soul and reggae DJ, songwriter, vocalist, musician, and painter.\n\nGrace Pilkington, a leading local performer who has read her poems ‘chronicling the minefield that is pregnancy and motherhood’ on the BBC, Times Radio, and at Hay Festival.\n\nDella Reynolds, a familiar face on the local poetry scene and formerly The Poet in Pajamas, performing amusing yet poignant poems from her 'Welcome to the Menopause' collection. \n\n\nPART 2\n\nRobin Ince, comedian, author, broadcaster, poet, and co-creator of The Infinite Monkey Cage.\n\nKyla Jardine, award-winning writer, performance poet, spoken word artist, creativity and writing coach.\n\n\nPART 3\n\nRoger McGough, ‘the godfather of modern poetry,’ broadcaster, children’s author, playwright and presenter of Radio 4’s Poetry Please.\n\nPenny Pepper, award-winning author, poet & disabled activist.\n\n\nThe Poetry Afternoon will begin at 12:30pm and finish at 6pm, and will be split into three sessions. Tickets are available for each session individually, or you can opt for an ‘All-afternoon Pass’ which allows you to come and go as you please.\n\n\nPart 1: Andy Riley, James Domestic, Grace Pilkington and Della Reynolds: £10\n\nPart 2: Robin Ince and Katie Taylor: £15\n\nPart 3: Roger McGough and Penny Pepper: £25\n\nPoets in Performance All-afternoon Pass (all 3 sessions): £35
