DESCRIPTION:'How do I get published?' is a question that is frequently asked by aspiring writers. Our panel will answer this question from the perspectives of a literary agent, a leading publishing house, an independent publisher and a self-published author. We expect the discussion to be lively, wide-ranging and interactive, including the opportunity for you to put your questions to the panel. Each of our panellists will bring their own unique perspective on how you can bring your book out into the world!\n\n\nRobyn Drury (Ebury Press)\n\nRobyn Drury is Publishing Director at Ebury, the non-fiction division of Penguin Random House UK. She runs a successful Substack publication where she writes about how to edit your novel and how to get published.\n\nMel Atkinson (self-published)\n\nMelanie Atkinson is a horror writer living in Hastings. She is the author of several novels including the zombie thriller, The Last Night In Amsterdam and two short story collections. Her short stories have been published in numerous anthologies and she has run workshops at the UK Ghost Story Festival and Summer Scares. \n\nDavid Gamage (Earth Island Books)\n\nDavid is the managing director of Earth Island Publishing, Engineer Records and Earth Island Books. He has worked in publishing for over thirty years, starting out in newspapers, moving into B2B magazines, and now running his own book publishing company.\n\nHis independent publishers are winners of The Stationers’ Company ‘Innovation Excellence Award’ and he’s a writer and author.\n\nHe has dealt with most aspects of the trade, from design and content creation, through print and sustainability, to marketing, PR, sales and distribution. \n\nAs a member of the Institute of Paper, Printing & Publishing, as well as various other industry associations, he sits on judging panels for several awards.\n\nWorking with both printed and online publications, he has travelled worldwide to promote the industry.\n\n'How do I get published?' is a question that is frequently asked by aspiring writers.
