Across a career spanning four decades, he has recorded over 100 albums, won over 25 British Jazz Awards , and collaborated with an extraordinary list of jazz greats including Kenny Baker, Stan Tracey, Scott Hamilton, Bruce Adams, Dave Newton, Clark Tracey, and the BBC Big Band.\n\nA regular at every major UK jazz festival , Barnes is known for his charismatic stage presence, razor‑sharp musical humour and deep command of the bebop and hard‑swinging traditions.
