DESCRIPTION:Royal Academy of Music-trained saxophonist Dan Foster performs with guitarist Stuart Jackaman and bassist James Sunney. Foster studied with Martin Speake and Stan Sulzmann before forming the Kairos Ensemble, which has toured extensively in the UK and France, released six albums and featured on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4.\n\nFoster has played with or alongside John Etheridge, Mike Garrick, the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, London Jazz Orchestra, Tony Hadley, Chris de Burgh and Alex Wilson. He also wrote and recorded brass parts for a Freeform Five remix of David Byrne’s Lazy which Byrne used on his world tour, and performs to large audiences at the Battle Proms.\n\nJackaman is an established figure on the Sussex jazz scene who has worked as a jazz and classical guitarist, soloist and ensemble musician for more than twenty years. He also performs with Foster as a duo.\n\nSunney developed his jazz and improvisation experience in South Africa, playing regularly in ensembles around Johannesburg and Pretoria. Since moving to the UK, he has played in jazz groups around South East England and formed an established local rhythm-section partnership with Jackaman.
